Refurbishment & remodelling of Ward 15 & 16 at Trafford General Hospital.
The project required the complete refurbishment & remodelling of Ward 15 & 16 on the 1st floor of block 51. Careful consideration was required to the occupants on the ground and second floor to ensure minimal disruption to ongoing activities. Out of hours and weekends, working was required to undertake the demolition and services connections. New rooftop AHUs were installed to serve the ground, first and second floors. Temporary AHUs were required to serve the ground and second floors whilst the existing AHUs were removed. Access to the first floor was achieved via a platform hoist. DAY CM was appointed to provide quantity surveying and cost planning services from concept design through to project completion. Produced Bills of Quantities for tender purposes to assist with competitive tendering, and to provide a better platform for receipt of robust and comparable tenders. We also helped co-ordinate the tender process through the appointed framework provider – the RISE Framework.
